Hunger, a daunting global issue, demands collective action from all of us. An estimated 690 million people worldwide go to bed hungry each night, according to the United Nations. To address this alarming issue, here are eight strategies that can significantly contribute to the fight against global hunger:
Enhance Agricultural Productivity: Improving agricultural practices is a key solution to hunger. Farmers need access to training in modern farming techniques, high-quality seeds, and fertilizers to increase their productivity. Adapting to climate change and implementing sustainable farming practices are equally important.
Reduce Food Waste: About a third of the food produced globally goes to waste. Reducing food waste at all levels—from the field to the supermarket, to our dining tables—can dramatically increase available food supplies.
